New Series

Artist Christine Corday is in collaboration with ENBIO [Dublin, Ireland] on a series of new works. ENBIO created a proprietary black coating named "Solar Black" for the ESA Solar Orbiter from an art-historical pigment. A pigment in a 40,000 year trajectory within the human hands beginning along cave walls to the current surface of the ESA solar orbiter.

Corday's early works replaced paint with heat. In this series, she will utilize their black pigment formulated to resist heat. Collaborative works with ENBIO will include this pigment as well as their application technologies to mechanicalize the artist's hand. This series focuses as well on new matierials and studio processes through the mimicing of solar furnaces and duplicating heat proximities to our sun.
