IMAGE: TIM WILLIS LOCKBOX PRODUCATIONS
A series of work Corday started as a painter replacing paint with heat ––temperatures specific to the surface of our sun.
Protoist works investigate elemental metal through distinctive cuts suspending the medium at a moment between melt and cut as well as between sensory stimulus and definition.
The works are conceived and constructed for largest sensory organ within human apparatus –– that of our skin. Touch indexically registers memory on the material surface as rust–an intimate yet shared public surface.
