Astrophysics Project
NASA AMES RESEARCH CENTER. SETI Internship
MOFFET FIELD, CALIFORNIA 1991
In 1991, after writing an original piece of research on an additional planet within our solar system, Corday was invited to work at NASA Ames Research Center with SETI Principal Investigator Dr. Laurance Doyle on a project looking for planets or planetary systems around other stars.
Corday's work was to apply a stellar inclination theory to known stars and catalog the stars edge-on and pole-on to our line of sight to help focus the world's observatories in search for extrasolar planets [exoplanets]. The project was in its nascence then and together with other projects results in over 5000 confirmed exoplanets found to date (2023).
Special Thanks to Dr. Laurance Doyle and Dr. Frank Drake.
